balenciaga shoes: fall/winter 2010

Eep! The Balenciaga fall 10′ footwear has me gaga. If you’ve peeked at my blog before, you are surely familiarized with my avant-garde shoe obsession. See, to me, shoes aren’t just cushions that get you from point A to point B. I mean, sure, they can be, but they can also be godly sculptures, so why the heck not?  I guess I tend to look at everything from a design standpoint {I know, how pretentious of me to state publicly, right?} but alas, it’s true.

Anywho, this particular footwear collection reminds me of: 1) Lego’s, 2) hospital prosthetics 3) Edward Scissorhands’ neighborhood 4) Art-Deco buildings in Los Angeles  5) Benjamin Moore paint swatches and 6) a cocktail party on Mars. So, yeah… basically my cup of tea.

Nicolas Ghesquière, you melted my wicked witch heart into a puddle with these killers……

Those shoes are rockin!! I had to look at them a few times to make sure I was really seeing shoes. I agree they remind me of all 6 of the things you mentioned. They are just amazing.
