I finally did the damn thing: I finally ordered business cards. I have been putting this off for… oh, a good few years now (mostly because when I’d look into ordering a new set I’d get too overwhelmed by both my ADD and the plentiful options available. HOWEVER, my friend Anna of Door Sixteen recently ordered her business cards from MOO and I absolutely loved her cards (+ enthusiasm about the process), so I decided to take advantage of the 10% discount from the friend referral and DO THE DAMN THING! I can’t wait to receive them.
I was going to upload a custom design, but honestly I was really pleased by this template and color scheme. Plus, because of my indecisiveness, it was a relief to find something already tailored to my taste. I love the modern and minimal letter of my first name combined with a personal photograph on the front. I wanted to include an image of myself (because I think it’s more effective in creating memorable introductions) but I didn’t want something that was too overt, so for me, this design was quite complementary. I love them!
I splurged a little on the Luxe cards which feature a higher, thicker quality paper and also have a colored center layer (I went with the white option).
About the card: MOO’s senior graphic designer Monika Koziol created this layout. She loves the visual effect of the faces peeking through the letters, and wanted this design to help anyone whose business depends on making a good first impression in a short time, against a lot of competition.
*When you place an order with MOO, they give you a 10% discount link to share with friends. If you use that link to buy cards, you save 10% and I get $7.50 in credit added to my MOO account— and then they’ll send you a 10% referral link to share with people, too. Feel free to use this link if you are planning on getting a set!
