I haven’t been posting due to my brief stint in Florida. While I was there, I headed on a road trip Key West for a lovely weekend (and absolute culture shock from the concrete jungle of New York City) with my family.
Some of our adventures included The Ernest Hemingway house (many six toed cats live there), the sunset at Mallory Square (complete with batty street performers that I’m convinced are recovering meth addicts), The Key West Art & Historical Society, Captain Tony’s Saloon (with a giant tree growing in the middle of it and bras hanging from the ceiling!), Turtle Kraals restaurant, Dante’s pool bar: a giant swimming pool + waterfall, surrounded by Tiki bars (and major douche bags), Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville and a trolley tour of the ole’ city. It was a great get-a-way… certainly not what I am used to!
